The Overall Service was excellent and reality of rooms was even better then pictures. I loved the fact that there is an art Gallery in the place.

The location is not far from the Kinosaki JR station - short walk through the main street where you can check out the shops and restaurants before arriving at the accommodation. Staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Meals were delicious: 1st night dinner was a beef set meal - grilled beef, and sukiyaki along with the side dishes and breakfast was the traditional grilled fish with rice and accompanying dishes. Rooms were spacious and comfortable (had the suite and superior room). I'm not sure if this is room-dependent, but each room had the option to reserve the use the private open-air bath at certain times for up to 40 min, which I thought was a nice bonus.

The quality of the food is really incredible! We had several kaiseki meals in Japan and this was the best. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was large and clean. The onsens that we got to use privately were very nice.

The room was very well kept and clean. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. About 5 mins walk from the station. The ryokan allows one free use of the private onsen for 45 mins which you have to book during check-in.

At first I thought for the price I got, it would be very basic and since it included both kaiseki dinner and breakfast, I could not see how it could be beyond my expectations given the price I paid (with my three travel mates). I was proven wrong - all services, from the front door all the way till the end was excellent. The dinner and breakfast were glorious, the private bath was great (yes it is included), and we even had a pass for free public bath use around Kinosaki Onsen areas. As a bonus, the inn itself is like a mini art museum (check it out, it has to do with the past owner).

This Ryokan is a dream. We chose the half pension with breakfast and dinner fit for a king. The quality of the food was amazing. The service was fabulous and personalized. We chose the room with the private bathroom. We were welcomed with a tea service in the room and Yukata selection. We had 2 yukata options to wear and it really elevated the experience. The location is perfect, about 5 minutes from the train station (if you can resist popping by all the cute shops along the way). Visiting the 7 onsens in Kinosaki was such a trip, we adored our experience. We can't wait yo come back.

What a treat! Our rooms, each with a private bathroom, were both beautiful and comfortable. The daily private onsen visits were an absolute privilege, adding to the overall charm of this gorgeous Ryokan. Be sure to go out at night and stroll along the water to witness the breathtaking beauty of the lights. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the meals prepared by Chef Ryou Syougaki. Especially the kaiseki dinners. If he doesn't already have Michelin star status, he certainly deserves it. The crockery and plating were out of this world, and we felt incredibly privileged to experience the exquisite meals he prepared for us. It is an experience not to be missed. We were served by the most wonderful team, but Pramila stood out as our star. Her wit and ability to converse in English made our interactions with her especially delightful. She is a gem, and we will always remember her as an integral part of our outstanding stay. I often give a 10 out of 10 when a place pleases me overall, but this deserves more than a 10.

I loved everything! Check in was a breeze, they made sure to show us where everything is and also offered to make hot tea during checking. The facilities was perfect, it was very traditional and they did everything proper. The room was great, it was HUGE and had everything you could need. It was raining and they gave us umbrellas, they also gave us yukata's and slippers (you can choose what type) to walk around the town to go to the Onsens. The food for dinner and breakfast was chefs kiss!

We had an exceptional stay, and it was a highlight of our trip. Please see summary below: Location: Excellent. About a 6 minute walk from the KinosakiOnsen Station and close to the stream that runs through the town. Room: This is one of the most luxurious rooms we've stayed at and the best we would find in Kinosaki. It is as shown in the photos and has an attached private bathroom in addition to the tub. The room was spacious and clean. I am not sure if the water in the tub is spring water but we spent most of the time bathing in the private and public onsen. Check in was at 3pm. Private Onsen: There are one of two options to pick from at no extra cost, the micro bubble room and traditional room. Both are nice and clean. We decided to also pay to reserve a second private onsen for 45 minutes. In addition, there are male and female public baths at the Inn - depending on the time, you might be the only person in them. Public Onsen: Like all Ryokan in the area, you are given a pass that allows you access to all the public Onsen in the town. Yukata: We were given yukata in standard white and blue/black colours at no extra cost and also had the opportunity to pick a colourful Yukata from their selection. Meals: We are vegetarian and Tsubakino was very accomodating. We were served a set meal for dinner and breakfast - again, this was the nicest Japanese food we had during our trip. I have added a photo of the breakfast with this review, the dinner was much more elaborate and spanned multiple courses. Service: The service was excellent. We had forgotten some clothes in the closet, and the Inn promptly delivered it to our next hotel in Kyoto.
